Meet Our Founder
Meet Our Founder, Meg
Daisy’s Early Learning and Care was founded by Meg Whitehead, an experienced educator and parent who saw a need for something different.
A centre where children feel genuinely seen and supported, and families feel part of the journey. With a background in early childhood education and a deep passion for child development, she set out to create the kind of place she’d want for her own children.
From day one, Daisy’s was built on values that matter: connection, calm and care. It’s a centre where children can grow at their own pace in a safe, nurturing environment, supported by dedicated educators and .
The curriculum at Daisy’s draws from Reggio Emilia, Montessori and inquiry-based learning. These approaches share a belief that children are naturally curious and capable. At Daisy’s, educators listen closely, respond to children’s interests and create learning experiences that feel meaningful and engaging. It’s not about ticking boxes, it’s about helping each child grow in confidence, independence and creativity.
What makes Daisy’s unique is the way everything connects. The rooms are calm and welcoming. The educators are attentive and consistent. The learning is personal and purposeful. And families are involved every step of the way through open communication, shared goals and genuine care.
For parents, Daisy’s offers more than childcare. It’s a trusted space where children are known, loved and encouraged to thrive. From your first visit, you’ll feel the difference. Daisy’s is a place where every child matters and every family belongs.
