Starting childcare in a new country is a big decision
Many of the families at Daisy's came to Australia to build something better for their children. We know that choosing a centre is about more than convenience; it's about trust, belonging and knowing your child will be ready for what comes next.
"Will my child's English be strong enough for school?"
Our educators actively build English vocabulary, comprehension and confidence through play, stories and conversation, every single day. Children who start with limited English consistently develop strong language skills before kindy.
"Will my child fit in and make friends?"
We build a culture where every background is valued. Your child will be in rooms with children from many different families, learning social skills, sharing and cooperation in a welcoming environment.
"Will they actually be ready for Australian school?"
Our School Ready program is specifically designed to prepare children for the expectations of WA primary schools. From pencil grip to sitting in groups to following instructions, we cover every milestone.
"Will the educators understand our family?"
Our team reflects the diversity of Southern River. We respect cultural practices around food, language and family, and we communicate openly so you always know how your child is going.
Our School Ready Program
The program Southern River parents are talking about. Designed for children in the year before kindy, it builds the exact skills WA primary schools expect on day one.
- English language confidence: speaking, listening and early reading
- Fine motor skills: pencil grip, cutting, drawing and writing their name
- Social readiness: taking turns, group participation, following instructions
- Independence skills: managing lunch boxes, toileting, putting on shoes
- Numeracy foundations: counting, patterns, shapes and problem-solving
- Emotional regulation: expressing feelings, managing transitions
